Guess Who Is At It Again – Lotts Pub

*UPDATE* This ad has now been removed and we have received confirmation that Lotts will no longer be advertising through Jobbridge.

Lotts Pub and Cafe is once again advertising for a Jobbridge position. This is not the first time we have had to target them, even though previously they have stated they wouldn’t advertise for a Jobbridge position again. It’s a clear case of job replacement as the position advertised is the same as before. Like many other adverts showing up on the Jobbridge site now there is little contact information. A bit of sleuthing however, and we were able to trace the ad back to Lotts. Find a gallery of ad’s below. As a result, yesterday #WorkMustPay went back to Liffey Street for the 3rd time and we won’t be leaving until we get that ad removed. DEMAND A LIVING WAGE, WORK MUST PAY!!

#WorkMustPay will continue to picket businesses like Lotts that exploit workers, because we are here to protect workers and their rights, not businesses. If a person takes a Jobbridge position, 18-21-years-old hourly rate will be €3.75. If you’re 22-24-years-old, your hourly rate will be €4.85 and if you’re 25 or over, your hourly rate will be €5.95. The current minimum wage is set at €8.65 however the living wage is €11.45 an hour, the income below which it is impossible to make ends meet in modern Ireland.

#WorkMustPay demand and end to Jobbridge, an end to free labour schemes and an end to the exploitation of workers, young and old. We call on activists to join in our campaign and demand that work pays a living wage! Please contact us at if you would like to be notified of future pickets. You can also find us on facebook and twitter.
